World War One "Entrance to Dugout, YMCA Station in Badonville" Stereoscope Slide
World War One "Entrance to Dugout, YMCA Station in Badonville” Stereoscope Slide. 7” x 3 1/2” (177mm x 88mm) paper slide with laminated photos. The image is of a YMCA Station in a bunker, with a sign at the trench entrance. A Dough Boy stands near the entrance trench to the bunker beyond, with two more soldiers at the door. In a stereoscope these soldiers seem three dimensional and it shows depth of field with great effect! This example is excellent, with the typical warp to the slide. The reverse of this slide is blank, with the maker’s info and the slide description printed around the photo. There is great detail with a magnifying glass of the details of the sign, the soldiers and the bunker/trench system. Price: $26.00 (ref. B-969d)
