World War One "PACK INSPECTION AMERICAN ARMY CAMP" Stereoscope Slide
World War One "PACK INSPECTION AMERICAN ARMY CAMP” Stereoscope Slide. 7” x 3 1/2” (177mm x 88mm) paper slide with laminated photos. The image is of a NCO inspecting each soldier’s personal pack items. The reverse gives a full description of this and why. The description identifies this unit as part of the 139th Infantry Regiment, belonging to the 36th Division. who saw fierce action northward of Vauquios Hill, in the Battle of the Meuse-Argonne. In a stereoscope these soldiers seem three dimensional and it shows depth of field with great effect! This example is excellent, with the typical warp to the slide. There is great detail with a magnifying glass of the Dough Boy’s equipment. Price: $20.00 (ref. C-192)
