Early HEISEY Tobacco Humidor, marked w/ patent date 1908.
Early HEISEY Tobacco Humidor, marked w/ patent date 1908.
Early HEISEY Tobacco Humidor. It’s base is marked with patent date; 1908. The earliest HEISEY pieces of glassware are beautifully made and almost look like cut glass, as it is with this early HEISEY Tobacco Humidor. The body has sixteen flat facets rounded at their tops and bottom. These match the faceted lid, whose facets continue through the oversize “lemon juicer” finial. This finial is 3” in diameter, and a person’s hands lay into the facets of the finial in a comfortable fashion. The body is 5 7/8” tall and with the lid is 9 ¾” tall. The diameter is 6”. The bottom is mold marked “PATENTED JULY 7, 1908” which surrounds the Heisey “H” in diamond logo. I believe it is rare to find a piece of Heisey with a patent mark. This Humidor has substantial size, and really sparkles in the sunlight. This one is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or blemishes. Breath taking! Price: $285.00 (ref.B-831)
