German WW2 private purchase Pocket Knife
German WW2 private purchase Pocket Knife. So many soldiers brought items with them from home when they went off to war. This is an inexpensive knife that was probably given to customers of the Amberg Bottling Company. There is a chip on one scale side as shown. The knife was manufactured using one piece of yellow scale, which has been folded over the knife spring. “AMBURGER FLASCHENHUTTEN, AMBERG A.G. OBPF” in metal is embossed in the front side. The larger blade is marked: “AUG. MULLER SOHNE, SOLINGEN” on the front ricasso. This two bladed knife was well used, the blades have been cleaned with some rust stains as shown. This small knife is a nice piece of personal gear that was carried by a German soldier. It came from a veteran of the 45th Division’s wartime accumulation. Price: $28.00 (ref. B-974)
