German WW2 Cavalry Horse “S” type Bit. It is nicely marked “REICHHEER” on one side. The other has maker’s “pine tree” logo, “SR”, size; “3” & “M”, early Reich Heer waffenamt eagle and the manufacture date; “1936”.  This steel bit is 6 1/4” wide at the mouth piece, and 7 1/4” long. These bits were heavily used both during and after the war. This example has been used, rusted and cleaned. It has a pitted finish, however the markings are very strong and clear. The curb-chain hooks are present, as are the rein rings. This German WW2 Cavalry Bit is a nice example, and is well marked. Price: $120.00 (ref. B-6961)
