Republic of Vietnam Marine Patch, early Brigade variation. Prior to reaching division strength, a black RVN Marine shield patch was issued to RVN Marines at a brigade level. Once the RVN Marines were a full division in strength, their recognised patch was the green circle. This example is of “silk” or “bevo” style woven construction.
