U.S. Military Model 1855 Mainspring VICE marked "US". Blued steel, 2 7/16” tall (fully closed), x 2 7/16” wide x 5/8” deep. This vise has nearly all of it’s dull blued finish, and appears little used. These Model 1855 vises fit the mainspring on the Model 1855 through several later musket/rifles.
