U.S. WW2 A.A.F. Combat Photos- Bombing Japanese Supply Ships

$125.00

This is a great set of photographs. Four 8 1/2” x 10” glossy photographs, numbered on their reverse. There is a seperate page with explainations of each photo. Actual bombing runs by U.S. Army Air Corp Medium Bombers against several Japanese Supply Ships. Probably taken with a large format camera, these images show the real-time action! There is shifting of the horizon in two images and the action not centered. The other two have ships in the center of the action. And there is action; stuff being thrown into the air from explosions, puffs of smoke from anti-aircraft guns on the ships, US bombers circling back for another pass, supply lighters zooming away from the bigger ships. The seperate slug page provides the story line of the action of each photo. Condition notes; These photos and slug page were held with a iron paper clip, that was once damp doing that job. So there are rust “clip outlines” along the edge and slightly into the image of each photo. the lower edges of the group were once damp, now long dried, leaving the paper slightly wrinkled. The conditon is solid. These are scarce original and WW2 period photos of the US Army Air Forces against the Japanese Imperial Navy in the South Pacific. Price: $125.00 (ref. A-130)
