U.S. WW2 Signal Corps, Pigeon Message Capsule "PG-67". This 1 5/8” long x 1/2” wide, two piece plastic capsule is threaded to un-screw so to add the message paper. The bottom half is branded; “PG-67”. The upper half has black cotton band with a snap closure. When un-snapped, the 3/4 plastic “U”, under the band, can be slipped onto the pigeon’s leg, and the band re-snapped. I have a small quantity of these scarce message capsules. Each will be tested that they un-screw and the cotton band snap closure works as original. These are WW2 issue and are eighty five year + old materials. They may have slight darkening of the plastic.
