"CIGARETTES" Tin with sliding lid, circa early 1960's

$34.00

"CIGARETTES" Tin with sliding lid. Sized for a pack of un-filtered cigarettes. 3 1/16” tall x 2 5/16” wide x 1 1/8” deep. This 1960’s litho’ed light sheet steel container is meant to protect a pack. Once the top of the pack is opened, sliding the slip lid back on this tin allows the smoker to remove a smoke. The design is wonderful, and looks strangely deco, with the cigarette smoke wafting up to spell; “Cigarettes”. The bottom of the side is maker marked “C.C. Co. 30-61”. The condition is as shown, with a few light rust spots and a few handling scratches. A nice period cigarette case Price: $34.00 (ref.B-785)
