German World War One Trench Art Ashtray. This stamped sheet brass ashtray is 3 3/4” in diameter. It has the Imperial German roundel central; “GOTT MIT UNS” (God With Us). These were produced durig the Great War and were made available to the troops to purchase, to use or to send home. The brass sheet metal is a rather light gauge, and there is a creased dent below the roundel design, not particularly distracting. The brass has a nice patina. Price: $35.00 (ref. B-701)
