The silver colored foil liner was changed to paper for conservation of the metal that was used to create the foil. The seal is marked; “Free of Tax, For use of U.S. military and naval forces in Alaska and Hawaii or for use outside the jurisdiction of the internal revenue laws of the United States. This product is admitted free of tax.”. This is a scarce U.S. Government military USE pack of WW2 vintage LUCKYs in near mint condition. Those produced in these years actually had the package “front” graphics on both the front and back of the pack. This pack is slightly sunk-in on one side (which is typical), but is complete with the cellophane moister-proof cover and red pull opener. These features are in near mint condition. There are minor pieces of tobacco “floating” between the cello and the pack. It is a rare survivor based on it’s condition.
