“BUSY MIKE” Tin-Litho’d Sand Toy by J. Chein & Co. New York City. Lithographed tin. 7 1/4” tall x 7 ¾” wide x 3 ½” deep (the diameter of sand cone). This example is in nice, nearly un-used condition. It has 96% of it’s full lithographed decorations, with modest edge wear and wear of the cone edge. It is nicely marked; “BUSY MIKE” and the logo shield; “J.CHEIN & Co Made in U.S.A.” on the side of the sand cone. This one has not had the metal tabs tightened, as is found on many of these tin litho’d toys. It is a solid example, which was played with a little, but was put away dry, and was well stored.
