Arts and Crafts Silver Mounted Copper Chafing Dish. Un-marked but attributed to Joesph Heinrich, New York and Paris. Hammered copper surface with silver pan lining and mounts. Oxidized silver stitch-form upper border, with three rabbit stand and a domed cover with a wooden finial accented with silver mountings. Circa 1900. NOTES: Joseph Heinrich was an important arts-and-crafts movement metal worker of the early 20th century. His work is often unsigned, however the hammered copper with the rabbit ornament is easily identified. Heinrich retailed his work through Tiffany & Co. and Gorham Mfg. Co. Their clients were interested in American design in the evolving Arts & Crafts movement. Price: $4,250.00 (ref.A-97)
